Beyond the industry mold: how we created a non-standard identity for a psychologist?

"I want to be different from the norm I currently see in the market."


That was the challenge that psychologist Raphael Guedes brought to us when we started creating his visual identity. He was tired of seeing the same visual solutions that other professionals in his field had adopted, which had become a "standard," such as pastel colors, watercolor texture, script and manual fonts.


Raphael is a younger psychologist with a modern approach, focusing on clinical hypnosis—a method that has been yielding effective results for his patients. With this in mind, we understood that his logo needed to convey these concepts of modernity and innovation.


Given this scenario, we embarked on the process of finding visual solutions for the brand. Here are some key elements we developed:


  • Innovative Typography: We used a sans-serif typography but modified it by adding serif-like elements, creating a unique contrast. This was innovative for the client's niche.






  • Vibrant Colors: We chose denser and richer colors with high saturation to break away from the typical pastel tones.





  • Hypnotic Graphic Elements: We incorporated graphic elements in continuous repetition, alluding to the field of hypnosis practiced by Raphael.






With these design choices, we had the correct direction to meet the need that the client initially brought to us.
